In the second part of the 3^rd millennium a little group of shepherds and farmers settled down in the area of Talatí. Archaeologists have found some pottery from this period in buildings that pertain to a more recent age. Between the end of the 2^nd millennium and the beginning of the 1^st, the first houses were constructed and the activity continued until the Roman conquest at 123 BC. About the 1^st century AD the decay of Talatí is already a fact, even though there are still some villagers remaining until the end of Islamic domination of the island, in the 13^th century.
