This small bastion of irregular plan, adapted to the differences of a rocky outcrop, defends for the oriental side the curtain of the wall where the only access door to the town is.

It should be related this defensive structure with the Eastern Talayot, that without a doubt formed part of the system for the protection and the territorial control of the town before the construction of the wall.
