"Eastern Tower"
It is the most preserved tower of the
defensive precinct and the one in which is more clearly
appreciated a type of construction, with layers of smaller
and properly cut stones, sensibly different to the used ones
in the wall.
Although we have not still been able to
determine accurately the date in which these additaments were
built, it seems that an opportune moment would be around the
4th or 3rd centuries B.C., perhaps in a moment lightly
previous to the Second Punic War.
