My First Oil-painting, 1925 (26 x 33 cm oil-painting/cardboard

Little woodland scene which Torrent considered to be his first original oil-painting. Up to that moment he had been painting by order and had copied plates, mainly from a magazine of that time called La Esfera.

In this painting, you can see some of the characteristics he would later use  in his works such as short brushstrokes, coloured binds (¿?empastados), the use of perspective with no horizon, local topics, etc. Of nothe here is that there isn´t a Tepic neither  is there a name for this painting. It is just a study (¿?)  where technique and the treatment of oil-paints are the  objectives rather than the object to be painted.
